Subject: kmotion wont install on win7 64 bit
kmotion installer starts and disappears, I installed on another machine as Tom suggested on cnc forum and copied the directory into win7
I am trying to run Mach3 and copied the dll file into the plug in directory, When starting Mach3 it says the dll is corrupt.
I setup a Virtual xp machine and installed both and the seem to work. I prefer to run under native win 7 and avoid issues going between real and virtual.

If you exit all unnecessary applications and processes the installer will usually run ok.   But otherwise Mach3 reports the DLL as corrupt because it can't find the KMotionDLLs required for it to load.  These are located into the install directory as <Install dir>\KMotion\Release.  The installer adds an APP Paths entry in the registry for Mach3 so it can find them.  You can add this manually.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Mach3.exe

create a string entry called path that is set to:

C:\KMotion431s\KMotion\Release
(or whatever your installed directory is)

Another option is to change the Windows PATH environmental variable

Wow what a fast and correct response!
 I added the lines to the registry" modified to match my directory" then rebooted for good measures and all is good!
